Berry Pies
I LOVE a delicious berry pie and so do my kids. See Pie Crust post for easy homemade recipe.
Note
You can choose whether to add a crust, lattice or other crust decoration to the top of these pies or just leave them open!
This recipe makes 1 berry pie
Ingredients
4 cups of any combination of your favorite frozen or fresh berriesor peaches.
If frozen, rinse and let dry to get the ice and water off the berries first
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour(GF, Einkorn or 3 tablespoons Corn Starch)
1 tablespoon lemon juice(water, or another other juice works too)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place all ingredients in a large ziplock bag and turn to mix completely and pour into Uncooked Pie Crust.
Cover with foil loose on the sides (don’t tuck the foil under the pan) and place in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Remove Foil and bake another 25-30 minutes. When you wiggle the pie pan, the fruit filling should have a Jello consistency when done. Remove and let cool for 30 minutes. Serve with Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt or your favorite Whipped Topping.
